Supporting Equality, Celebrating Pride

Throughout June, communities across Canada are celebrating Pride Season 2026.

It's a time to honour the history, resilience, and contributions of 2SLGBTQI+ people while continuing the work of building a more inclusive society for everyone.

Minister for Women and Gender Equality and Secretary of State Rechie Valdez, in her statement to mark the season, said Pride is both a celebration and a reminder of the importance of creating communities where everyone can live safely and authentically.

"Pride Season is more than just a celebration – it is a time to reaffirm Canada’s commitment to equality, safety, and inclusion," she said.

This Pride Season, we join Canadians from coast to coast in celebrating the strength, diversity, and vibrancy of 2SLGBTQI+ communities.
