Statement from UNA President Heather Smith:

Alberta nurses are shocked and saddened by the terrible tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. 

On behalf of all members of United Nurses of Alberta, I extend our deepest condolences to the families and community members impacted by this devastating loss of life.

We send our support to the nurses, doctors, health care workers, and first responders who are providing care and support to everyone impacted by this tragedy.
