UNA supports and stands in solidarity with our AUPE co-workers

UNA supports and stands in solidarity with our AUPE  co-workers in their fight for fairness and respect. Today, it was announced that Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Care Aides and other workers represented by the AUPE voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.

Nurses know that health care works best when health care workers stand together. That’s why UNA members are encouraged to wear a “UNA supports our co-workers” button when at work. UNA will soon share information with UNA Locals about how they can order and distribute these buttons to members.

UNA will also be providing information and guidance to UNA Local Executives in the coming days about their responsibilities in the worksite in the event of a strike by AUPE.
